The best portable drill press attachment out there!

At the risk of sounding dramatic, I have to say this is the portable drill press attachment I’ve been looking for my entire woodworking career.

We’ve made do with a half dozen different $50-150 versions of this for years, always complaining about the obvious shortcomings: small, unstable base plates with no good attachment methods, too much slop in the chuck as well as the guide rods, and problems keeping the two guide rods consistently aligned.

ALL of these issues are solved with this one! The linear guide bearings that the chuck assembly rides on are smooth and incredibly tight. The three post design is sheer genius. The chuck itself is mounted into another linear bearing collar and as purported in the listing has virtually zero runout or deflection.

… in short, I think they could easily get away with selling this for $300 if it included a simple toolbox! But all that said, this machine is truly a game changer, and I would never hesitate to recommend any carpenter or woodworker to purchase this.

I have a large floor drill press as well as a couple smaller bench models, but sometimes it is easier to take the tool to the work rather than the other way around. I have had very good results with Levoite Tool products in the past so I thought I would try this portable drill guide out from them. This thing is a beast and is well designed and engineered. Very heavy duty and rugged. They did not cheapen out on the materials on this and I am very impressed with the quality of the chuck. Slides up and down on bearings and is super smooth and allows you to get a dead perfect hole. Made of thick durable cast/machined aluminum and steel, this is going to last forever, and this is just so portable and easy to carry around I think my drill press machines are going to get cobwebs on them.

Purchased it to drill ¾-inch dog holes in 3-inch thick maple work bench. Did an amazingly good job. Very stable and accurate. Highly recommend.

Great tool! Exceptionally well made. Very little if any run out. Makes drilling precise holes in confined spaces very easy.
