This is the best fret saw made (coping saws are very similar). The frame looks bulky but the strength and rigidity are next level. It is worth every dollar if you care about what you do. You will not regret purchasing this tool.

As I've grown older I find that I search for tools that are the gold standard for their purpose. This is one such tool. You'd think that paying more than $150 for something as simple as a coping saw is absurd... until you use it. Then you realize that it does EXACTLY what it's supposed to do without deviating - at all. None. No exceptions. That's when I realize that if I can possibly afford it, I'm going to get the tool that does exactly what it's drawn up to do. This coping saw is perfectly straight, and it STAYS that way. That means that both sides of the board I'm cutting will look the same and be the same. Every time. And then I know I'll never need to buy another.
