A very nice panel clamp to ensure flat gluing. I use it for making cutting boards. This makes it all more stable.

As one gets older (and arguably accrues more experience) there’s a natural tendency to “review” items not simply in terms of their specifications in the here-and-now, but also how those specifications might compare to similar items produced in the good-ole-days.

Take wood, for example. My father was a skilled woodworker. As a boy, I recall tagging along when he went to the lumber yard to procure materials for a project. I have clear memories of him sorting though stock, and rejecting as inferior garbage, planks and panels that, these days, are sold as “premium” product with premium prices.

Even then, it was sometimes necessarily to piece together segments of wood to achieve stock of suitable size and finish. Nowadays, where you routinely pay top-dollar for knots, cracks, and warping, having to tools to facilitate that activity is essential. Take these panel clamps from the LEVOITE, for example.

This product intended assisting in the gluing/joining/clamping of boards, side-to-side, to produce stock for cabinet doors, walls and surfaces.

Speaking of the good-ole-days, I’ve watched a precipitous decline in the quality of tools over the last few decades. Trusty American steel has been replaced, in many cases, with off-shore junk “crafted” from poor steels, pot metal and flimsy plastic. I don’t know where these clamps are manufactured (most likely in Asia someplace) but rest-assured these are built like a tank. While I’m not prepared to claim these are professional or industrial quality, they might well be, and in any event, they’re likely to last long enough for your heirs to fight over them. Not a woodworker? I wouldn’t be shocked to find they do fair duty as an anchor for your bass boat.

These panel clamps are outstanding!!! They are a well-machined set of clamps that are heavy duty. They apply nice pressure, evenly across your work piece. These are not some flimsy devices that will not last a lifetime. They are built to last. They are expensive, but for what you get, they are an excellent value. I do a lot of woodworking and did not have a set of these style clamps. I would normally just use a ton of bar clamps (with mixed results). I had to add a wooden extension to some shelves I was building for a closet project. I used these clamps and was able to get excellent results. While they may be self-explanatory to use, you get a nice set of instructions on how to use them. Overall, a good value and I highly recommend.

These are really good panel clamps. I have a wood working hobby of making stave vases and need to glue boards together.

Like so many woodworkers, I first started with a mess of pipe clamps and that is really hard and time consuming having so many pieces that need to be screwed up multiple times, any tool you have that makes it easier is highly valued. The most important thing to take away from these clamps is that they are used to apply pressure in four directions and they do. Using these clamps has made my clamping and gluing way easier and time consuming. I can't say enough good things about how easier it is to place the boards in the clamps and tighten them compared to other methods and clampsl.

I do a lot of glue ups for cutting boards and over the years have bought quite a few competitors products, none seem to be as easy to use as this model have used it once and everything went exactly as I had hope.
