The tool I did not know I needed.

This little draw plane impressed right out of the box. It’s milled from Aluminum and has replaceable blades. These are the same blades as my big power planer drum has. It comes with one extra blade and a wrench with the proper torx to service said blades. It has some depth settings available by turning the blade as it is four sided.

Sometimes after planning a board I want to knock that sharp edge off but don’t want a radius there. So I have been using either a sanding block and hitting it a lick, hard to control, or using a file which is easier to control but they load up and need brushed so often that I wonder if it’s worth it.

Enter this little draw plane as an option and I am in love. Works great and is consistent. I am able to run the edge of a full eight foot piece of oak and have one ribbon still together of the finest of slices. So far I have run a bunch of oak and poplar both and have the same results. It’s just enough to remove that sharp edge but is almost impossible to tell with the eye. It also makes a more pronounced chamfer with the bladed turned. It’s a handsome forty five bevel and the bevel can be turned into a radius by hand with multiple passes. This little draw plane has sparked an interest in what other wonders have I been missing by pretty much ignoring hand planes as an option. I have always been of the if it don’t plug in it’s not for me school of thought but maybe this little plane has actually changed my life. Who knows.

Twenty two bucks buys a lot of joy when using this planer and for the task I have been using it for its results are priceless to me. I highly recommend this little draw plane for every woodworker. Great tool!

This is just a little guy, but can get the job done for occasional work. It's petty sharp and was nicely machined out of aluminum.

It's a little awkward to accurately control with the pull, but it becomes easy with a little practice.

It's nice to keep around to quickly remove a corner, but won't replace your other planes.
