I don't know why I have never bothered with something like this before. I can't tell you how many hours of my life have been spent trying to find the perfect center via traditional methods. Can it be done? Yes. Is it hard? Not really no, but compared to having something like this to very quickly and easily do it for me is AMAZING. It's simple in design, and it works. It's also a pretty well made little unit. This thing will save me a lot of time for sure, and I am really glad to have added it to my word working arsenal.

This dowel jig has a nice construction and feels very solid. The jig is easy to use and compact enough to make storage easy. I have some floating shelves that I need to make and this jig has been a great addition to my shop. The jig makes centering your holes easy for floating shelves and allows easy adjustment for various sizes of holes. The jig also works nice to be able to find center lines on your board with the use of pencil in the drill location. Making centering boards and attachments easier.
