this is a very good product and worth buying. It seems well made to fine tolerances. Everything fits together well and moves smoothly when it has to move. When it has to lock down it foes so very securely.

Makes a very good impression, good workmanship. The cutting edge seems reasonably sharp.

It does a pretty good job

Simple and effective,Used on seasoned oak. Will cut from square stock though much easier when you taper the end a bit. Best results after 8 siding on the saw. Sizes are accurate and holds joints well. An elegant and well made addition to the toolbox.

I got to run a few 10mm white oak dowels through this thing today and it did a fine job. I thought it might get hot but the aluminum and carbide combo mitigates that very well. I'm using a Milwaukee 18V drill and find that a higher-speed drill makes for a better dowel.

The dowel maker is awesome. 8 different sizes of dowels with a very simple cutter that works great.

This is a handy tool to have if you use a lot of dowels and use odd sizes, not commonly stocked by suppliers. You can use it by hand, but it is better used with a small hand drill and the unit bolted down to a bench. Depending upon the speed used, you may need to run some sand paper over it, if a fine finish is required.

Fixed this to a small board to attach it with strong clamps to my work bench. Good quality and sharp cutter.

Excellent product to help me get dowels made quickly. I used to spend hours making dowels manually. I can now do it in minutes.

With this tool it is much easier to produce dowels. Easy to handle and with good end results. I really like it.
