Fonson® Track Saw Square Guide Rail Square Upgraded

Love this tool! Perfectly designed, heavy duty construction, have used it daily for several months and no regrets. It anchors the Festool track against the board and gives a consistent starting spot for the track saw.

It makes the tracksaw so much easier and faster to set up and use. It is dead accurate. Yes, you could probably make something that serves the same purpose, but I think it would be hard to make it as robust and reliable. Money well spent IMHO.

This tool is incredibly easy to install and use. Once set up, it makes cutting precise 90-degree angles quick, accurate, and repeatable. It saves a lot of time compared with measuring and setting up each cut manually. The fit and accuracy are excellent, and it gives you much more confidence when making precision cuts. Overall, a simple but very useful addition to track saw setup.

This guide rail square has made cutting full sheet goods far more reliable — the 90-degree reference edge locks the guide rail in place quickly, and repeated cuts across a sheet stayed consistently square rather than drifting off angle the way eyeballing a rail placement can. Compatibility with both Festool and Makita rail systems meant it worked without any adapter or modification needed.

The aluminum alloy construction feels rigid and doesn't flex under clamping pressure, which is important for maintaining accuracy across a longer cut. The quick-lock mechanism is fast to engage and release, making it practical to reposition between multiple cuts on a big sheet without slowing down the workflow significantly.

Setup does take a moment to align correctly the first time on a new sheet, but repeat cuts after that are fast and accurate.

A well-made, genuinely useful accessory that brings real precision to sheet good cutting.

This is a really handy addition to my track saw setup. It attaches quickly to the guide rail and makes getting a nice 90-degree cut much faster than measuring and squaring the track every time.

The quick-lock feature is easy to use, and once attached, the square feels solid and keeps the guide rail positioned where I want it. It is especially useful when making repeated crosscuts on plywood and other sheet goods.

A simple accessory, but it saves time and takes some of the guesswork out of setting up square cuts. Very happy to have this in the shop.

The square consists of a square piece of aluminum with a square guide that lines up with the edge of a track saw track. There's a spring clamp that latches onto the edge of the track keeping the square attached. The square measures approximately 14" long by 5 ¹/₈".

Using the square, you loosen the thumb screw on the top to loosen the small metal rectangle piece on the bottom that then slides into a groove on the track. Push the square up against the track and it's secured with the spring latch on the side and tightening the thumb screw. The spring latch has a tab you can rotate to loosen or tighten the little clip piece. I'm using the square on a Makita track and it fits and works great.

This is a great way of quickly lining up your track for use with a track saw.
