Fonson Track Saw Sqaure Guide Rail Square

Solved an issue with keeping the square on the work piece. Solid, good quality at a reasonable price.

So I just got into the track saw game and bought the Milwaukee version. I love it but I needed to quickly square my track to the ply I was cutting so I got the guide rail square ... The device is deceptively simple and does exactly what it's designed to do!

The quick-lock feature is easy to use, and once attached, the square feels solid and keeps the guide rail positioned where I want it. It is especially useful when making repeated crosscuts on plywood and other sheet goods. It saves time and takes some of the guesswork out of setting up square cuts. Very happy to have this in the shop.

Easy to use, nice machined aluminum, and square out of the box

This jig other than the locking mechanism and indexing key is almost all aluminum. The locking mechanism is a turn key on a cam that draws the straight edge into the jig locking it against the aluminum knurled surface to keep it aligning at 90 degrees. There is a thumb screw that locks a key in the underside channel to ensure solid alignment. Checking the accuracy of the square once anchored shows 100% @ 90 degrees. The thickness of the guide should keep this tool viable for many years and is of suitable thickness to prevent bending or cracking of the metal in heavy use.
